🎙 Weekly Sermon Podcast – How-To Guide

1. Download the sermon audio

2. Replace the sermon audio inside the Podcast Template

3. Trim the sermon start & end

4. Check audio levels

5. Export as MP3

6. Upload to Spotify for Creators under the correct campus

Access the Podcast Template

1. Go to the Podcast Template folder 

2. Download the FULL Podcast Template folder

⚠️ Important:
The template is a folder, not a single file. It contains:

• .aup3 (Audacity project file)

• .shm file

• .wal file

All three must stay together at all times.

3. Save it somewhere easy to find on your computer
   Example: Documents > Podcasts > Podcast Template

1. Duplicate the Template Folder

   • Never edit the original template.

2. Rename the copy using this format:

   • DDMMYY - Sermon Title - Preacher
     Example: 04102026 - Faith That Endures - Ps Mitch Hamilton

3. This keeps files clean and prevents corruption.

1. In Google Drive, go to the audio recordings folder and select your campus

2. Download the sermon audio for that Sunday

1. Open the .aup3 file inside your copied template folder
   (Do not open the .shm or .wal files)

You should see:

1. • Opener track

   • Placeholder sermon track

   • Closer track

1. Delete the placeholder sermon track

2. Drag the new sermon audio file into Audacity

3. Trim the Start

   1. Play the sermon until the preacher actually starts preaching

      • No announcements or intro moments

   2. Click at that point

   3. Right-click and select 'Split Clip'

   4. Delete the unneeded audio to the left.

4. Trim the End

   1. Play near the end of the sermon

   2. Stop before worship or ministry time

   3. Click at that point

   4. Right-click and select 'Split Clip'

   5. Delete the unneeded audio to the right.

1. Drag Sermon to the Opener

   1. Hover your mouse over the top bar of the sermon track

   2. When the hand icon appears, click and drag

   3. Drag the sermon so it starts immediately after the opener

2. Drag the Closer to the Sermon

   1. Hover over the top bar of the closer track

   2. Drag it so it starts right at the end of the sermon

   3. Audacity will snap tracks neatly together.

1. Play the opener to sermon transition

2. Watch the volume meter (top right)

3. Use the gain slider on the sermon track only to match the opener

⚠️ Do not adjust the opener or closer levels.

1. Go to File → Export Audio

2. Export the file as a MP3

3. Name the file: DDMMYY - Sermon Title - Preacher
   Example: 04102026 - Faith That Endures - Ps Mitch Hamilton

1. Go to your Campus' Spotify for Creators page.

   • Bibra Lake

   • Byford

   • Maddington

   • Narrogin

   • Singleton

2. If needed, log in with media@centrepoint.church

3. Click '+ New Episode' and select the MP3 file you just exported

4. Name the episode Sermon Title – Preacher Name
   Example: Faith That Endures - Ps Mitch Hamilton

5. Use the following as the decription:

6. Click 'Next'

7. Schedule the podcast to publish now, and then click 'Publish'!
